The Crestwood Crush Baseball Association (CBA) is the recreational baseball league for the Village of Crestwood. However, players do not need to be a resident of Crestwood to join the league.

League

CBA participates in the Southwest Inter-League for the regular spring season. The Southwest Inter-League is comprised of the following towns: Crestwood, Hickory Hills, Oak Lawn, Bedford Park, Worth, Hometown, Orland Hills, Blue Island and Bridgeview

Season & Games

The regular spring season typically runs from mid-April through the end of June. The amount of games played is a minimum of 18 for the younger teams to over 25 for the older teams, not counting playoffs.

Ages / Divisions:

7-8 years / Pinto (Coach Pitch)
9-10 years / Mustang
11-12 years / Bronco
13-14 years / Pony

Coaches:
Volunteer coaches are needed for the 2015 season

To teach the fundamentals of baseball/softball in a relaxed, friendly and fun environment. To let the players enjoy playing the game and to have fun doing it so that they will want to continue playing for many years. To help children learn how to associate with others in a team environment, play well with others and understand what being a good sport is all about.

  • Games last approximately 75 minutes, normally 3-4 innings.
  • Games are played as normal games, positions are taught.
  • Players can hit singles, doubles, triples and even an occasional home run.
  • Players hit off a batting tee so they can develop and concentrate on a good swing.
  • No aluminum bats are used – the ball reacts too quickly for the young players.

Ages:
Boys and Girls:  5 years through 7yrs old

Season & Games:

  • Games are played at Walker Park, 139th & Laramie in Crestwood
  • Games are played at Playfield Park, 128th and Playfield Drive in Crestwood
  • Monday and Wednesday evenings at 6pm and Saturdays at 10am
  • Season runs late-April until mid-June
  • Teams are picked and practices start in April

Ages:
Girls, 7 through 18 years old
(Your league age is your age on January 1, 2015)

Divisions:
8u, 10u, 12u, 14u, and 18u

Season & Games

  • Regular outdoor practices start in March, weather permitting
  • Season runs April until mid-June
  • Home games are played at Walker Park, 139th & Laramie in Crestwood
  • Teams normally have between 11 to 15 girls on each team

Coaches:
Volunteer coaches are needed for the 2015 season
