The totes are to be placed curbside with the lid opening toward the street.

Trucks may not always arrive at your home at the same time each week. However, if your trash/recycling was not picked up by 4:00 pm Monday, and all your trash was curbside by 7:00 am, please call the Village Hall the following day between 9:00 am – 12:00 pm to reschedule pickup. You can reach Village Hall at (708) 371-4800.

Crestwood is divided into two recycling routes by 135th Street.
The Green Route is north of 135th Stand the Blue Route is south of 135th St.
For Crestwood residents that live in condominiums and apartment buildings, you can drop off your recycling items at the drop box located at the Crestwood Recreation & Wellness Center.
Only recyclable materials are to be placed in the recycling tote. Republic Services will not pick up recycling totes containing materials that cannot be recycled.
The overwhelming amount of contaminated recyclables are threatening local recycling programs. The truth is, putting improper items in your recycling container impacts everything around it. Items that could have been recycled are no longer usable due to the contamination of the overall container.
In the Village of Crestwood, as much as half of the recyclables collected are contaminated. We must work together to make this recycling crisis better.
Do your part to learn more about approved recyclable materials and how to properly prepare your recyclables to avoid contamination.
