The Village of Crestwood is informing residents about an upcoming EsoGuard screening event at the Andrew Biela Senior Center.

EsoGuard is a DNA test designed to detect esophageal precancer. According to the event flyer, individuals may be at increased risk of developing esophageal disease if they have three or more risk factors, including chronic GERD, being over age 50, being male, smoking, obesity, a family history of esophageal precancer or cancer, or other listed risk factors.

Event Information:
đź“…Dates: Monday, September 21 & Wednesday, September 23
⏰Time: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
📍Location: Andrew Biela Senior Center

Residents who have three or more of the listed risk factors can complete the required form at an informational session to determine whether the EsoGuard test may be right for them. If the test is ordered, participants will then schedule an in-person screening appointment.
