Garbage pickup in the Village of Crestwood is every Monday between 7:00 am & 7:00 pm.
Recycling is picked up every other week in the Village of Crestwood.
Trash can be placed curbside on 6:00 pm Sunday. To avoid being missed, trash must be curbside no later than 7:00 am Monday morning.
The totes are to be placed curbside with the lid opening toward the street.
Do not place the totes within 3 feet of a mailbox or a parked car. This is to ensure that there is adequate space for the garbage truck to operate.

If garbage/recycling pickup falls on or the day after an observed holiday, pickup will occur the next day. New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day are observed.
Trucks may not always arrive at your home at the same time each week. However, if your trash/recycling was not picked up by 4:00 pm Monday, and all your trash was curbside by 7:00 am, please call the Village Hall the following day between 9:00 am – 12:00 pm to reschedule pickup. Only recyclable materials are to be placed in the recycling tote. Republic Services will not pick up recycling totes containing materials that cannot be recycled.
The overwhelming amount of contaminated recyclables are threatening local recycling programs. The truth is, putting improper items in your recycling container impacts everything around it. Items that could have been recycled are no longer usable due to the contamination of the overall container.
In the Village of Crestwood, as much as half of the recyclables collected are contaminated. We must work together to make this recycling crisis better.
Do your part to learn more about approved recyclable materials and how to properly prepare your recyclables to avoid contamination.
