The Village of Crestwood encourages local small business owners to take advantage of ComEd's Energy Efficiency Programs, which are designed to help businesses reduce energy costs through free facility assessments, rebates, and financial incentives.

ComEd recently announced that more than 100,000 small businesses across Northern Illinois have completed free energy assessments, resulting in an estimated $262.8 million in annual energy cost savings. Since 2015, participating businesses have also received more than $607 million in incentives to help offset the cost of energy-efficient upgrades.

Eligible businesses—including restaurants, retail stores, grocery stores, churches, and many other small commercial customers with a peak energy demand below 500 kilowatts—can receive a free on-site assessment to identify opportunities for improving energy efficiency. Recommended upgrades may include energy-efficient lighting, HVAC improvements, refrigeration enhancements, compressed air system upgrades, and other cost-saving measures.

In addition to long-term energy-saving solutions, ComEd continues to offer financial assistance for eligible small- and medium-sized businesses with past-due electric balances through its Customer Relief Fund.

Reducing energy use can help lower monthly utility bills, improve business operations, and free up resources that can be reinvested into employees, customers, and future growth.

Crestwood business owners interested in learning more about available programs, eligibility requirements, or applying for a free facility assessment are encouraged to visit ComEd's Small Business Energy Efficiency Program website or contact ComEd directly for additional information.

The Village of Crestwood is pleased to share opportunities that help strengthen our local business community and encourage continued economic growth.
